Hammy The Hamster
Hammy's Great Escape!
School's pet hamster makes drastic escape from heavily locked Cage!
On Friday 12th May, at Saltedge Primary School, Hammy the Hamster broke out of his cage for freedom. Some say he was horribly forgotten in the holiday rush. Meanwhile, others are pointing the finger at Patsy Jones, Class 4 teacher. All the treacherous occurrence happened at 3:30p.m., the end of the school day. It was nearly the holidays; so the pupils all barged out of the mahogany doors, forgetting the fragile creature. Patsy Jones quotes that she definitely locked, 'the state of the art cage', she even took the precaution of putting a high quality padlock on top to secure the cage.
Obviously, everyone was distraught by this heartbreaking story except for Francesca. The young girl hated the so called 'rat' and begged for its forgiveness. The R.S.P.C.A. find this extremely suspicious. Joe Smith, caretaker, was the unfortunate soul who found the mysterious scene. He announced 'I never harmed him what so ever! I woke up this morning with nothing. He was my everything, my world!
Vets like Pretish Khan know why the animal escaped. Apparently he was neglected by a certain dinner lady who thought that when he was brought to the school, he was for lunch time food. Unbelievable!
Even though we know why, who and what we still don't know where. If you find any information about our missing pet please contact 07543827194. Thank you!
